These are only the main characters of “Lupo della notte”, noir action movie whose background are the disenchanted atmosphere of a big city’s suburbs and the mysterious intricacies of the violence of the nights of the “modern gladiators’”: whether it is for money or for fame, these men will fight in underground arenas, abandoned factories, dungeons lighted by a neon light and dump basements, where every night the pagan rite of the fighter’s glory is celebrated.

Nothing is what it seems in this dark and immoral universe, and the path towards the glory might turn into an unstoppable fall into perdition for which there’s no way back.

It’s easy, too easy to game away your soul in this world of shadows and blood, of sweat and flesh, of ambition and cruelty!

Bertolt Brecht once wrote “Unhappy is the land that needs a hero”; well, then we could also say “damned the world which first creates its heroes and then destroys them!”
